Our Mission
"To provide a nurturing platform for performers in Quesnel and surrounding areas to develop and showcase their performing arts talents - building confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of the arts."
Our Story
Founded in 1983, the Quesnel Festival of the Performing Arts began as a small community gathering to celebrate local performing arts talent. What started as a modest showcase has grown into one of the most beloved annual traditions in Quesnel, BC.
Over 43 years, thousands of performers have graced our stages - many going on to careers in music, dance, theatre, and beyond. The festival spans five disciplines: Dance, Piano, Vocal-Choral, Speech & Dramatic Arts, and Band-Instrumental.
Each spring, the festival culminates in the spectacular Celebration of Stars - an evening gala honouring the highest-scoring performers across all disciplines, attended by families, community leaders, and supporters from across the region.
We are proudly supported by the Rotary Club of Quesnel, our Founding Community Partner since 2014, and by generous corporate partners, donors, and volunteers who make the magic possible every year.
